Running with Manchester Frontrunners @ Sugden Sports Centre- Starting at 7pm so arrive by 6.45pm if you're changing beforehand. 15-20 runners attend each week. Two routes, one run March - late September (Summer Route) and the other October to March (Winter Route). Both are as 'off road' as possible, but given we live in the middle of Manchester, this isn't exactly guaranteed! Generally, there will be someone around to support new members. We make no charge for our weekly run, all we ask is that you join the club by paying the annual membership if you want to run with us regularly.
There are changing and shower facilities at the Sports Centre. You'll need 20p for the lockers (remember to get a token first!) but use of the showers/change rooms is free.
MORE IMPORTANTLY, after the run, we will all head to our favourite local eatery, Kro2 (www.kro.co.uk/two) for drinks and food Please feel free to make this a regular event in your diary (even if it's just for the pub bit!!). www.manchesterfrontrunners.org

- Monthly Sunday Walk Out @ Manchester Students Union & Academy
- We are an easy-going LGBT group looking to welcome new weatherproof walkers. The group was born out of The University of Manchester LGBT staff network but now includes friends and partners. Every last Sunday of the month we head for the hills and reward ourselves with a picnic or late pub lunch for a 10-12 mile walk. Our trips by train or shared cars have in the past taken us to the Peak District, the Lakes, the Ribble valley, North Wales and the Yorkshire Dales. The routes don't (normally) involve too strenuous scrambling or rock-climbing and you won't need any special equipment other than solid walking boots and waterproof layers. If you are interested or would like to know more, please contact:
thomas.nuhse@manchester.ac.uk - times: Meeting point and destination by arrangement with group
